This weekend Mick's friend Carter had his birthday party. It was at his Grandparent's house and boy were we in awe when we got there! They live near 119
th and Kellogg, I have been by there a thousand times but never even knew this house was back there. We turned onto a beautiful dirt road lined with trees, it was so pretty. Once we got in through the gate we went past the main house and went down to the pavilion where the kids got train rides and they had waiters there serving drinks and snacks. After several train rides we went up to the main house and had dinner and cake. The house was full of carousel horses which Mallory thought was amazing, I will admit the were impressive. We all hung out around the beautiful pool and play area. They also had the waiters serving drinks and food again. Mick had been sick all weekend and by this point was beyond ready to go home so we did. What a fun party and what a beautiful home!
Mick and Mallory ready to go on a train ride. PS Mallory is the best for always going with little brother on these excursions!!

Isn't that train so cool?

Coming back to the train station, birthday boy Carter is driving with his Dad.

He loved it!!

Another ride around the tracks.

Loved the cake!

Ingrid, Mick and Mallory by the pool.

Look what I did Mom!!!

Happy Birthday to Carter!!

This is off to the front and side of the house, we sure didn't feel like we were in Wichita!!

This is a beautiful home! Since Chris' dad worked at Chance for SOOO many years, he is good friends with the Chance family! Also, since Chris' dad built and painted carousels at one point...he, too, has a carousel horse, as well as a carousel bear & pigs in his house that he built and painted. The grandkids love it (when they are little)!!
Glad you were able to go to the party, at least for a little bit!! Looks like you had a blast!
Sweet! That party looked amazingly fun. I'm glad you were able to still attend. It's too bad that Mick wasn't 100% so that he could really enjoy it.
