As most of you already know we spent my birthday a the hospital with Mick. He has been on almost 90 days of antibiotics and is still sick. Although I was nervous about this day I was praying it would make him more comfortable. Dr. Bunting went in and put tubes in his ears, he still had fluid and has for the past couple of months. He also took out his adenoids, they were blocking almost 80% of his airways, poor guy! While he was under they also did some allergy testing, we was allergic to 22 of the 32 things they tested him for, ugh. Next step, he will be on a nasal spray and allergy medicine year round and start taking sublingual allergy drops, this process with take 3-5 years. The good thing is he was equally allergic to everything, bad thing is he is allergic to cats, our grass, corn, wheat, about every tree, mold, dust mites, you name it and he is allergic! Thanks to all of our family and friends for your calls, notes, gifts and making my birthday the best it could be.
I had worked it out with the hospital to be able to be with Mick until he was put under, this is normally not allowed but they let me go since Mick is delayed with his speech. I did have to get into scrubs, lovely, lol!

Getting ready to go, Mick didn't like the hair net on me or the face mask. He spent the whole time I was carrying him to the OR trying to get them off of me, guess it was a good thing.

This is how Chris and I found him after surgery, they were kind and let us be there not long after surgery. We both wanted to hold him so bad but had to just sit there until he started moving a little.

Then he got moved to Daddy's lap, it took him over an hour to wake up so the nurse finally came and said time to move him around. Once we sat him up he took a couple sips of milk, she took the IV out and we were on our way home!
What a long exhausting day. Daddy and Mommy love you Mickers!
