Fishing

Mallory went over to her friend Madi's house on Sunday and the girls got to go fishing. I must say I was never one to ask to go fishing but they love it and have a great time! I called Melanie after a bit and she said Mallory had caught around 10 fish and didn't want to go home. We decided Mick might enjoy seeing the big kids fish so we went over for a bit. Of course Mick not only wanted to see the big kids, he wanted to have his own pole and go fishing! Also, I need to add that Mallory's friend Madi not only put the worm on Mal's hook she also took the fish off for her, Mallory didn't want to touch anything, surprise, surprise! We all had a great time and I see more fishing in our, well Chris, Mallory and Mick's future!
Mallory was really not dressed for fishing, she was wearing a dress and flip flops!
Mick wasn't too afraid of the fish, he actually liked touching them.
Mallory with one of the 14 fish she caught! She wouldn't hold it, she had Ty help her out, guess we need to work on worming and de-hooking skills at our house!

Spring Break

I took around 400 pictures while on vacation this past week. Here are a few I thought were really cute. We had a wonderful, busy week. We did a ton of swimming and shopping as well as Disneyland, the Palm Springs Aerial Tram, The Living Desert Zoo, Mallory and I got to go to a night of tennis at the Indian Wells Tennis Complex. We had such a great week but I am exhausted today! Hope everyone else had a wonderful break as well!

Mallory swimming, she swam at least once every day we were in Palm Springs, sometimes twice a day!

Mick brushing a goat.
Playing the drums, I think they enjoyed this as much as seeing some of the animals
The boys on the carousel, funny they chose to sit together on the bench and not on the animals!
Mallory in the Butterfly House.
This was in the Butterfly House at the Zoo and I thought it was so cool to watch the Mommy hummingbird feed her babies.
Can't get enough of this smiley guy!
Their last night together watching a movie.
Mick loved Karl and Walters stroller! He is reading his book about trucks in this picture.
On our way home Mick got the chance to "fly" the plane. He loves airplanes right now so this was really exciting for him!

Crazy, Busy House!!

Since most of my posts are about Mallory I thought I would throw in a few pictures of Mick!!It seems like lately we haven't gotten a break around here! Mick is keeping us busy with his new speech classes (Three times a week) and they seem to be working pretty well, he is babbling away, I am sure there are many important statements being said we just still can't understand most of what he is saying but it is getting better. The one encouraging thing with Mick is that in all of his testing and therapy we are seeing how smart he really is. His therapist said the other day that she has NEVER had a child catch on as quick as Mick is, you know that is music to Mommy and Daddy's ears!! Mick ended up having double ear infections and we were refereed onto a ENT to have him checked out. His hearing came back perfect everything looked good but the Dr. keep looking a Chris weird. He ended up telling us that he thought Chris' moles on his neck and shoulder looked very much like skin cancer so we made an appointment and Chris was off to surgery to have them removed the next day. Thank goodness they all came back benign (This all happened last week)! On Tuesday Chris went and got his stitches out and they said everything looked good! He came home had dinner played with Mick and around 8 said he was hot, he took his shirt off and the area on his shoulder had completely come open, I could tell it hadn't even started to heal. We were at the ER until around 1am getting him all stitched up, Janette, thanks for keeping me entertained while sitting there forever. Let's pray this time around the stitches hold and the wound heals! Mallory has had reading state testing this week. I have had yearbook to work on and getting us all packed for our vacation tomorrow!! Tomorrow we are headed to Palm Springs to meet my Sister and her family I CAN'T WAIT!!!
