6 new posts!

With everyone being so sick I am just now catching up, check out all 6 new blog posts!

Fun Night!

Everyone at our house is feeling better. Mallory is still having a hard time kicking her cough but we seem to be on the road to recovery. Mick on the other hand is back to normal and funnier than ever! Here are a couple of pictures of the two of them being cute together!

Motivational Poster

Mallory's class will be taking standardized state test next week. Her teacher asked the parents to design a poster for their children and well as a letting for them to open as a surprise sometime next week. Here is the poster I came up with. Hope she likes it!

Valentine's Day

New Album 2/19/09 1:28 PM

I went to school on Friday to help out with Mal's party. It was nice to get out of the house after being stuck there for over a week. At the party the kids had cookies and cupcakes and then the girls got to make a bracelet and the boys made candy bracelets. They also made a cute handprint keepsake for their parents. The party went fast and we came home and crashed. Also, this year Mallory's Valentine box had to also include one of the six simple machines. Mallory came up with a great idea to make a treasure chest and have a lever lift the lid and then the kids could put in their Valentines. We had a great time working with her to make it all work together. I loved how it turned out and more importantly she loved it!

Dance clinic

New Album 2/19/09 1:22 PM

On Tuesday, the 10th Mallory got to participate in a fun evening. After school she took a bus over to the high school and spent the evening learning a dance with the high school pom pon girls. They fed them dinner and then the girls got to perform at half time of the basketball game. She had a great time and seemed pretty comfortable in front of all of the parents!

Super Bowl Sunday

New Album 2/19/09 1:21 PM

I never thought my daughter would be the one in the family asking for a Super Bowl party but it happened this year. Mallory's teacher is a huge Steelers fan and had the kids all excited to watch. When the Steelers won the playoffs we got to go a whole week without homework. It was also that much more exciting for Mallory that my Dad and his wife Chris live in Pittsburgh and we had just vacationed there over the summer. Needless to say the comments coming from the basement were hysterical! The game was on the small tv and icarly was on the big screen. We had a great time having them all over.

Little Mickers

Poor Mick has been sick forever! He had ear infections that would not go away and then most recently was diagnosed with Influenza A, he was sick for almost 10 days with the flu. He went 7 days straight with a fever and just wasn't comfortable. He got to where he hated seeing the medicine syringe coming at him, this picture says it all! He would also just hold the medicine in his mouth for sometimes 5 minutes before swallowing, luckily he never spit it out!
