New Camera

Well, I finally decided to get a new camera. I am still not sure I am going to like carrying a larger camera around but so far I love the quality of the pictures and the ability to snap several pictures a second instead of waiting for the camera to re-set. I am sure I will always carry the old stand bye in the purse cause I hate to miss a photo opp. Here are a few of my first pictures, I have a lot of learning to do!!

Mallory had her friend Madi over to swim today so I had two beautiful girls to take pictures of!!

Birthday Fun!!

This weekend Mick's friend Carter had his birthday party. It was at his Grandparent's house and boy were we in awe when we got there! They live near 119th and Kellogg, I have been by there a thousand times but never even knew this house was back there. We turned onto a beautiful dirt road lined with trees, it was so pretty. Once we got in through the gate we went past the main house and went down to the pavilion where the kids got train rides and they had waiters there serving drinks and snacks. After several train rides we went up to the main house and had dinner and cake. The house was full of carousel horses which Mallory thought was amazing, I will admit the were impressive. We all hung out around the beautiful pool and play area. They also had the waiters serving drinks and food again. Mick had been sick all weekend and by this point was beyond ready to go home so we did. What a fun party and what a beautiful home!
Mick and Mallory ready to go on a train ride. PS Mallory is the best for always going with little brother on these excursions!!
Isn't that train so cool?
Coming back to the train station, birthday boy Carter is driving with his Dad.
He loved it!!
Another ride around the tracks.

Summer Time Stomach Flu:-(

Last Friday morning Mick woke up with a fever and didn't look like he felt well. Mallory had tennis so I loaded him up to go take her, as soon as we pulled back in the neighborhood he started throwing up! I hate throw up but why does it seem worse in the car, I guess I feel like I live in my car and don't want it to stink! He only threw up on Friday but then ran a temp of 103.5 until Saturday night. Those of you that know my Mickers well will appreciate these pictures.
Mick was so sick he would just pass out about anywhere!

Poor baby!!

Visit From Isabella

My cousin Matt and his daughter Isabella just spent a week here in Wichita with our family. I must admit I don't have a ton of pictures because while the Grandma's and Granddaughters were off having fun I was busy with Mick!! Bella we had a wonderful time with you here, can't wait to see you again real soon!
I love this picture of Mick and Mallory!

Since Mick had just celebrated his birthday he is very into blowing out candles and Bella was kid enough to re-light them and let Mick blow them out.

Mick's Actual Birthday, June 12, 2010

On Mick's birthday we got up and let him open his presents and Daddy made him pancakes and bacon for breakfast. We spent the rest of the morning putting together and playing with his new toys. Mick took his nap and then got ready to go to his Friend Daniels house for his 3rd birthday celebration. I was a little worried that Mick might now handle it well but he had great fun and didn't mind watching Daniel open all of his presents. Being three is so simple and fun! Happy Birthday Mick, we love you and can't believe how fast you have grown up!!
Mick and his new train and car table.
He played with the table and all morning.
He was more excited about the wrapping paper that had Toy Story characters all over it.
We got him Toy Story balloons and he held on to them all day!

In the pool at Daniels house.
Mallory always looks so pretty with her tan and the pretty blue water.

The kids got to run on the pool cover at Daniel's house, my kids thought this was super cool since we don't let them run on ours!

Mick's Birthday Party at Grandma Sue's

On Friday night we celebrated Mick's birthday at my Mom's house. He had a minor melt down for some unknown reason over a toy but after that was over had a great night! We had a Toy Story themed party and he loved it!! He even blew out his own candles and was so excited we had to re-lite them and do it several more times! Happy 3rd birthday Mick!!!!
I just thought this picture was cute and funny!
