Happy Halloween

For those that don't live in Wichita I have to start off with how wonderful the weather was today! No wind, lots of sunshine, Trick-or-Treating without jackets, it was perfect!! We headed down to our neighbors around 6:15 and then headed out. We walked our little section of our neighborhood, Mick walked it all as well, he had a blast once he figured out what was going on. At one of the first houses we went to Mick went up and the man opened the door and put the bowl down at Mick's level, Mick took his bucket and set it in the bowl for the man to have, pretty funny! I love living in such a fun neighborhood. We came home around 10 Mick was ready to crash and Mallory was off to spend the night with a friend. Hope everyone else had a happy Halloween!!

Can we please goooo!!!
Mick actually stopped to let me take his picture, this never happens.
I was not really excited about this costume at first but fell in love with it once she got it on.
Mick wouldn't stand next to the girls so Chris had to join in. We started with 4 kids and by the time we ended we had 14!! Such fun.
At our neighbors house.
Keeping up with Daddy!
Even though Mick doesn't say the actual words he would attempt to say Trick-or-Treat and then after he would get his candy he would mumble when all the other kids would say Thank You
Still out having fun, she could of gone all night!!

East side Trick-or-Treating a day early!

Normally we spend Halloween night running around trying to see all of our friends and family. This year we decided to hit my family on Friday night and get to spend some quality with them instead of running over at 9:45 at night with grumpy tired children. My Mom made some wonderful Chili and homemade Cornbread. Such a great way to end a cool wet day! Thanks Mom!!

Red Ribbon Week Poster Competition

Mallory has been looking forward to designing a poster for Red Ribbon Week since school started. She came up with a slogan and idea with what she wanted to draw. She submitted it into the competition and won for her class! She was so excited that her poster is on display at school and she won a large candy bar to top it off!! I thought she did a great job, she spent a ton of time! Way to go Mallory!!

Her slogan is "Don't Go Fishing For Drugs"

Little Cheer

A couple of Friday nights ago Mallory participated in Little Cheer Night. I always love this night. I enjoy talking the kids to the High School Football game and just being around all of our Friends. But the best part is getting to watch Mallory cheer, she looks so cute all dressed up in black and red. Chris was in Iowa this weekend and I was worried Mick would be horrible while at the game. He made me very happy, he sat in the bleachers like a big boy and then loved the band and half time, he kept clapping for the band. We missed having Daddy with us but still had a great time. After the game I came home and crashed, I had 5 girls spend the night then spent most of the day at the Pumpkin Patch and then the Football game, such fun being a Mom!!

Walter's Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday Mallory didn't have school so I let her have 4 friends spend the night and the in the morning we all headed to the Pumpkin Patch. We also met several other friends from school as well. There were so many fun things to do, so many that after 4 hours we still didn't get to see everything. I had too many cute pictures and video to pick and choose so I posted the whole album! This is one Pumpkin Patch we will be going back to for many years to come!!

Back Track

My good friend Janette sent me these pictures that are from back in September. The first pictures are from Mileage Club. Mick and I went up to school to walk a few laps with Mallory around the track. I couldn't believe he made it two full laps before being done. Thats 1/2 of a mile!! The last picture is of Mallory and Olivia at Read Night up at school, she had a blast reading and getting a ton of SRC points!!
Mallory and Mick finishing the first lap together!
Notice what he is walking with. He always has a car in his hands!!
They are so cute together.

Maize Fall Festival

A couple of weekends ago the town where Mallory goes to school had their Fall Festival. We took the kids up on Friday night and rode a few rides and checked out all the fun booths. I took the kids to the parade the following morning. This was one of the first weekends of super cold weather!! I am not ready for fall!

Happy Birthday Chris!!

Ok, so Chris actually had his Birthday on October 7th so I am a little behind on my blog but going to get caught up this week so keep checking for updates! Chris turned 32 this year and vowed we weren't going to celebrate, but tell me that and we will do the exact opposite!! We didn't do a ton that day since it was the middle of the week but we did have a nice dinner with my family and he got some great gifts. On that Saturday he also got to go to Lawrence with my Uncle Mike for the KU vs. ISU game. Even though ISU lost he had a great time. Hope you had a great day Chris, we all love you a ton!!!
