Baby Shower

On Sunday I co-hosted a baby shower for our neighbor and good friend Jessica. I didn't know a ton of the women attending but still had a fantastic time. I was in-charge of the decorations which is right up my alley. Nothing more fun than making cute baby girl decorations! We had about 25 people attend and Jessica got some really nice gifts!
I made the baby girl tree and hand painted the blocks with baby Emily's name on it.
The table looked darling and the food was yummy!!
Gerber daisies, Jessica's favorite flower and Mallory and I filled all those baby bottles with M&M's and tied on a cute it's a girl charm.
Mallory, Abbie, and Kelsey decorating the table.
Mallory, Abbie (Jessica's daughter), and Kelsey (another co-host's daughter)
Jessica's Mother-in-Law Phyllis, Jessica, and her Mom Pat.
Me, Jessica's Aunt Joyce, Jessica, and Kathy. The three of us hosted the shower.
Everyone sitting eating.
All of the little girls that attended got to play a game where they had to guess how much crape paper it would take to go around Jessica's baby bump!

Air Show

On Saturday we headed to McConnell Air Force Base to the air show. Once we got close we saw that amount of traffic was too much for us to handle and went and met some friends in Spirit parking lot. We saw several different airplanes put on a good show but were waiting for the BIG show the Thunderbirds! We waited, and waited, and waited all to find out that the Thunderbirds had been cancelled due to a storm moving into the area! I was so sad I didn't get to see Mick watch them fly, he is very into airplanes right now. He kept saying, "wow, cool!" over and over again! We had a great time with the Dillon family sitting and waiting! Chris and Mick got to go see the Thunderbirds on Sunday, but I was hosting a baby shower at our house so I missed out, Chris and Mick both thought they were pretty cool!!
Mallory, Mick, and Caleb checking out the air show.

Logan, Caleb, Mick, and Mallory, they all had a great time waiting together!
I thought this was a cute picture of Mick, he was still excited and enjoying the show!

A Little More About Mallory!!

I thought I would finish off all of Mallory's birthday posts with a look back at her throughout the years. Enjoy!!!

Celebrating Mal's Birthday At School

On Monday I took cupcakes to school so Mallory could celebrate her birthday with her friends! When I arrived the school didn't have any water so the kiddos couldn't get drinks or go to the bathroom, and here I arrive with cupcakes to make them nice and thristy! Luckily the water was back on by the time I left. I will say by the time 5th grade rolls around the celebration at school is pretty short. They sang happy birthday and ate the cupcakes and moved on! I am pretty sure this was my last time taking birthday treats to school for Mallory, sigh, why do they have to grow up so fast?

Mallory's Actual Birthday and Family Party

We let Mallory choose what she wanted to do on her birthday. For breakfast she chose donuts from Lamar's. Chris got up super early to make sure they had the chocolate sprinkle donuts she requested. Next up was opening her presents, and then she went and spent a couple of hours with her Dad. On Saturday night we celebrated Mallory's birthday with my family. Mallory got to pick out the dinner menu and desert. Normally we celebrate at Mom's house but Mallory wanted to have everyone come to our house this time. We grilled out for dinner and then had a Spear's french silk pie for desert.
Yummy Lamar's donuts.
Gift card for one night at her favorite hotel in KC.
Opening presents, she had a little help from Mickers.
